Phase-sensitive radar (ApRES) time series data from Ronne Ice Shelf, 2017, Site S0115

GB/NERC/BAS/PDC/01961

Abstract:
The dataset comprises ApRES (Autonomous phase-sensitive Radio Echo Sounder) time series from a site (S0115) located on the northern Ronne Ice Shelf. The instrument was deployed in early 2016 as part of the Filchner Ice Shelf System (FISS) project, although the first usable data were recorded in February 2017. The aim was to provide time series of basal melt rates and the vertical strain rate.

Funding:
The data were acquired under funding from NERC - the Ice shelves in a warming world: Filchner Ice Shelf System, Antarctica (FISS) grant NE/L013770/1
