Phase-sensitive radar (ApRES) time series data from Ronne Ice Shelf, 2016-2017, Site S1015

GB/NERC/BAS/PDC/01956

Abstract:
The dataset comprises ApRES (Autonomous phase-sensitive Radio Echo Sounder) time series from a site (S1015) located on the southern Ronne Ice Shelf. The instrument was deployed in early 2016 as part of the Filchner Ice Shelf System (FISS) project. The aim was to provide time series of basal melt rates and the vertical strain rate.

Funding:
The data were acquired under funding from NERC - the Ice shelves in a warming world: Filchner Ice Shelf System, Antarctica (FISS) grant NE/L013770/1
