Shallow and deep Western Core Box mooring data collected during multiple marine cruises in the Southern Ocean north of South Georgia from October 2002 onwards
GB/NERC/BAS/PDC/00948

Summary

Abstract:
A shallow and deep mooring has been deployed in the Southern Ocean, north of South Georgia, during multiple marine cruises from October 2002 onwards. As part of a long-term monitoring and assessment of the status of the marine ecosystems in the region of South Georgia, known as the Western Core Box, measurements were made for sustained observations of zooplankton abundance and distribution in its environmental context. Standard datasets include profiles from a Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) analyser, and Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP).

Funding was provided by the Scotia Sea open-ocean observatory (SCOOBIES) project.
